Description
Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
As this six-hour online training (two hours of self-paced, followed by four hours of instructor-led training) is a certification training, the use of cameras during the instructor-led training is requested. Upon completion, the certification is valid for three years.
Please note, completion of online pre-class work is required by April 2.
Once you have submitted the registration form, you will get a confirmation email, stating that your registration was received, and a placeholder calendar appointment.
You will receive a second email from Mental Health First Aid USA (MHFAinfo@thenationalcouncil.org) and the instructor, Dee Le Beau-Hein, with instructions for logging into the learning management system. This is where you will complete the pre-course work and find the Zoom link for the instructor-led portion of the training.
